Including ACE sources in the repository

Post by nemerle » Fri Mar 15, 2013 4:07 pm

Hi
I'm considering including stripped down ACE sources in the SEGS repository.

This is a WIP version with a cmake build system.
The build should be extremely simple:

Code: Select all

unpack sources to DIR
cd DIR
EDITOR ace/config.h
mkdir bld
cd bld
cmake ..
make

I'm planning on removing the config.h editing step, so the whole build should be automated.

I've tested the build on:
Win Xp : Mingw-w64 32bit sjlj gcc 4.8
Win Xp : Visual Studio 2010
Arch Linux 32bit : gcc 4.7.2 + make
Arch Linux 32bit : clang 3.3 + ninja
Arch Linux 64bit : gcc 4.7.2 + ninja -> the client links and runs.

Anyone brave enough to try this out on other configurations ?
mingw-w64 on 64 bit windows, macos ?

Also working
OS X 10.8.2 (64 bit): clang 4.1 + make
FreeBSD 9.0 RELEASE (32 and 64 bit): gcc 4.7 + make

I'll try on HP-UX and Solaris for fun later as time allows. Those are more trouble since I do not currently have cmake and cc/gcc installed (along with their dependencies... and Solaris 10+ no longer ships with companion media.)
<Insert something witty here>
